  ID Cards - Why?
Reading an article on the Guardian website when one quote jumps out at me:

"I take the view that it is part of being a good citizen, proving who you are, day in day out," - Home Office minister Andy Burnham

  Iraq - Three Years On
"What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy? " - Mahatma Gandhi

Three years on and still no WMD found (surprise!). Blair's legacy is that he deliberately lied to the country and led the UK into a quagmire of a war that shouldn't have been fought. History will not be kind to Dubya's poodle.

"Never, never, never believe any war will be smooth and easy, or that anyone who embarks on the strange voyage can measure the tides and hurricanes he will encounter.

The statesman who yields to war fever must realize that once the signal is given, he is no longer the master of policy but the slave of unforeseeable and uncontrollable events." - Sir Winston Churchill

Shame on you Bush and Blair.

  First day of spring.
Blue sky for the first time in what seems like months, just paid and out for lunch with AB. Superb

Edit: First thing that happens when the sun peeks out? The office blinds get shut - sheesh

  Nicky's New Website
Completely spurious plug for my friend Nicola's, newly launched, Official Website.
www.nicolaschellander.com

She is a fantastic crystal designer and has decided to have her own space on the web to show her impressive portfolio.

Her sofa made of crystal is very cool.
