Rock On Tommy
Was recently reading the excellent book
"Yes Man" and thought that I needed to say "yes" to things a bit more and live a little.
So Chris said, "I've got tickets to see a band on Wednesday - fancy going ".
I immediately said no, couldn't be bothered going home and getting changed after work, Hassle Hassle etc etc.
Then, after work, walking to get the train I though "F@ck it, get a grip, say yes more". So changed my mind called him and said I'd go after all and just head along in my work clothes.
It was an great night! Turned out it was the
re-launch of the Hard Rock Cafe in Edinburgh so there was a free bar, free food and great music.
Chris knows the first band that were on (
Bleeker) and they played a great acoustic set (especially the cover of U2's "One") and the headliners "
El Presidente" were pretty good as well (the guitarist was tremendous).
Chris even won a signed Guitar in the raffle albeit it was an
Epiphone rather than a "real"
Gibson Les Paul.
So, class night and all because I decided to say yes where I would normally say no.
