Thursday's Child has far to go
28 today and I am healthy, have a roof over my head, money in my pocket (£2.52) and great people in my life.

It's only the 4th time since I was born that my birthday is on the same day of the week as my original one - I've no idea why I looked that up tbh but hopefully, as the rhyme says I still have "Far to go" - glad I'm not born on a Wednesday anyway!

Having a birthday this close to Christmas is a bit of a pain but nothing major as I've never wanted parties etc. The big negative is that it brings into sharp focus how much you miss the people that aren't around to celebrate with you.

Anyway, to end on a cheery note, my lovely Fiancee has got me a voucher to do some offroading - I can't wait to sling those Fast Show cliches about.

  Space Cadets
What a terrible program this is.

The premise is to pick suggestable & niaive people for a reality show and try to trick them that they are in space. It's a bad premise that is even worse in real life.

K has been watching it and imo, its shameful. These poor people really think they are on a trip of a lifetime. I don't know how anyone involved in the program can sleep at night.

I really really hope they lamp that smug git Johnny Vaugn(??) when they find out that it is all a set-up.

What next for Reality TV? Celebrity (working in a) Slaughterhouse? A real-life Running Man?

  Derek Broon - Redux
Seems the bold Derek did not send a letter about Rix to the SFA, the mystery deepens....
So who did write the letter? Does it exist?

Did he instead attend the meeting and verbally raise the issue?

His huffy excuse sounds a wee bit too much like Clinton's farcical "I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Ms Lewinsky"
